Yesterday, Microsoft finally gave the world a sneak peek on the upcoming Windows – Windows 8 (to be renamed in future). So, Windows 8 is in development. The new operating system that are designed and optimized for touch-based devices. You can watch the video below to get some idea how Windows 8 looks like and how it work.
New features in Windows 8 :
- Fluid, natural switching between running apps.
- Convenient ability to snap and resize an app to the side of the screen, so you can really multitask using the capabilities of Windows.
- Fully touch-optimized browsing, with all the power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10.
Although touchscreen is used in the video, don’t worry, mouse and keyboard can still be used. Windows Explorer and Desktop are still exist in Windows 8.
The new operating system works on both x86 and ARM-based architectures without the need to develop separate apps for each architectures.
