The Singapore 2011 Presidential Election is around the corner. It is time for Singaporean to choose their future President. Who to vote for in the Presidential Election? The candidates are Tan Cheng Bock, Tan Jee Say, Tony Tan Keng Yam and Tan Kin Lian. The quartet of Tan are racing to gather votes among Singaporean and the best candidate will be the next President who represents the true Singapore. As scheduled, the Singapore 2011 President Election will held on 27 August 2011 and Singaporean have their right to choose their choice of candidate on that day.

2000: Voting at the 781 polling stations across the island closes at 8pm and the votes will be counted at 162 counting centres.
2110: Result from the first counting centre: Tony Tan – 42%, Tan Cheng Bock – 29%, Tan Jee Say – 22%, Tan Kin Lian – 6% and 1% spoit vote.
2150: A source from a counting centre in Bedok says most of the votes split between Dr Tony Tan and Dr Tan Cheng Bock. Mr Tan Jee Say is not too far behind.
2159: Sources from various counting stations around the island put Dr Tony Tan in the lead, in the race to be Singapore’s seventh president. Unconfirmed reports from one centre have him at about 40 per cent, with both Dr Tan Cheng Bock and Mr Tan Jee Say below 30 per cent. Mr Tan Kin Lian is said to have about 10 per cent of the votes.
2205: A source at a counting centre in Western Singapore says Dr Tan Cheng Bock has about 70 per cent of votes so far.
2300: Tan Kian Lian has conceded defeat.
2301: Result from Endeavour Primary School (Yishun): Tony Tan – 2645, Tan Cheng Bock – 2270, Tan Jee Say – 1671, Tan Kin Lian – 354, and 354 spoilt votes.
2328: Another source revealed the overall results: Tony Tan: 35%, Tan Cheng Bock: 35%, Tan Jee Say: 25% and Tan Kin Lian: 5%. There might be a recount, and a tabulation of results from overseas voters. It is a close call to determine which candidate won it.
Tony Tan Keng Yam won the Presidential Election with 744,397 votes (35.19%). Other candidates, Tan Cheng Bock received 737,128 votes (34.85%), Tan Jee Say received 529,732 votes (25.04%) and Tan Kin Lian received 130,931 votes (4.91%)
