Parepare-kun: Help You Learn Chinese Language While Surfing the Web

If you are in the process of learning Chinese language, then this would be a tool that you wouldn’t want to miss out. Perapera-kun is a Firefox extension that can help you learn the language while you are surfing the web. The extension does more than merely translating the words from English to Chinese but also provide the pinyin pronunciation together with the meaning.

Normally, if you have encountered a new Chinese word while browsing a Chinese website, you can always copy the word to Google Dictionary to check on the meaning. However, if there are just too many new words that you need to check on then repeating the process would be very tedious.

With this add-on, you can get your translation and the meaning of the words or phrases by just hovering your curser over the Chinese character as you can see below:

To get the feature in your browser involves two steps. First, you need to install the add-on (click here) and second, you need to load the add-on with the English-to-Chinese dictionary file (click here). After the installation, a cute little start icon will appear on the bottom right corner of your browser. All you need to do is to click on the icon to enable the dictionary function.
