Doing research and survey is part and parcel of being a university student especially those related to marketing and sociology. For me, doing survey is one of the most dreaded tasks other than taking exams. Going out in the street and ask people for their 5 minutes to complete a questionnaire or for an interview demand a lot of patients and courage. The process of face to face interview is both slow and embarrassing.
In my case, for the sake of understanding the property market and housing preference of the home buyers (as it’s part of my project), I was required to conduct a survey about it.
Thankfully, I stumble across this website called Swik Surveys that helps me put away much of the burdens. Kwik Surveys is an online survey website that offers its service free of charge. Unlike other online survey services like www.surveymonkeys.com which restrict their free users with the number of questions and maximum responds that they can get, Kwik Surveys does not impose any of these restrictions.
Using this online survey is straightforward and easy. Firstly, you need to go to the website and register an account. After you have registered and verified your email address, you will be directed to a blank survey. To create a survey, simply click on the “title” tab and type in the title you wanted for example “Housing Preference Survey” and the description about the survey.
To add question, simply just click on the “add question” tab. In the Question Text box, you need to type in your question without having to insert the index number. After you have done, click on the “option” tab. Here, you need to select the type of question, insert the answer choices, display options, and choose whether to place a space for comments or not. After everything’s done, click on save & exit tab and you are ready to add your next question by following the same steps.

Kwik Surveys not only makes it easy to input all your questions but also simplified the way of distributing the survey questionnaire. The responds from the questionnaires will automatically be captured and summarized in the result tab.
