I guess some of you have face this problem. Every time you log in your Windows Live Messenger, there will be invitation notifications (only if you have one). OK, it’s nice to have notification regarding invitation. But, problem is even if you accept or ignore the invitation, the notification stays there. It’s really annoying to most of the users (including me).
There are a few solutions to this problem.
1st solution :
- Just click [x] every time you see the invitation notification. (Doesn’t solve the problem)
2nd solution :
- Click on the invitation notification area – [!You have _ invitations]
- You will be redirect to the invitations page (similar to below pictures)
- Click [Accept] or [No, thanks]
- Remember to click [sign out]
3rd solution :
- Click on the invitation notification area – [!You have _ invitations]
- You will be redirect to the invitations page
- Click [Accept] or [No, thanks]
- Close your Windows Live Messenger
- Go to Computer/Local Disk (C:)/Users/YourUsername/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Live Contacts
- Delete everything inside that folder
- Open your Windows Live Messenger and sign in
- No more annoying invitation notification
I don’t know if Windows Live have solve this annoying bug or not. However, just choose any solutions that is suitable to you.
