How to pin Recycle Bin to your taskbar in Windows 7

Let’s say you are someone who like simplicity. Dislike shortcut icons spreading all over your desktop. Because it will make your desktop looks very messy. So, you hide all the desktop shortcut icons (by un-tick the [Show desktop icons]). Now the desktop looks cleaner than before. Then, another problem pops out – how am I going to empty the recycle bin? The recommended way is to pin the recycle bin icon to taskbar. For that, I’m going to teach you on how to pin recycle bin to your taskbar to help you on this.

Here’s how :

1. Just create a new shortcut to any place/path

2. Type the %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:RecycleBinFolder into the Type the location of the item edit box and then click Next.

3. Right click the created shortcut and select Properties.

4. Click the Change icon. Change the icon path to %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll

5. Select any icon you desired and press OK.

6. Drag the icon to the taskbar to pin it to the taskbar.

7. Once the shortcut is pinned, you can delete the original on the desktop.

8. It’s done.
