DiGi, a mobile service provider in Malaysia has offered Malaysians the first ever mobile WiFi (MiFi) – EXPLORE 16GB.
Until now, DiGi only offers the EXPLORE 16GB broadband plan. There is 16GB of monthly data volume quota. Like other broadband plans in Malaysia, if you exceed the monthly allocated data volume quota, the fair usage policy is applied. Normally, your broadband speed will be reduced to 128 kbps from the normal 700 kbps.
This broadband plan comes with a free Huawei E5832 a.k.a. DiGi MiFi which can be obtained with paying RM360 for upfront purchase. Basically it’s free because you will get rebates of RM30 per month for 12 months (total : RM360). The MiFi unit transmits a WiFi signal and can be used with any WiFi capable devices like the iPad, iPod Touch, PSP, Netbooks, laptops, WiFi enabled cameras etc.
Other than that, there is an advance payment of RM100 that will be used to knock-off against your billed amount. There is no activation fee & termination fee (no contract).
