The first day of the iPad’s launch is a great day for Apple as the number of iPad sold in the first day alone is a remarkable 300,000 units.The figure mentioned is only for US market which includes the deliveries of pre-ordered iPads to customers, deliveries to channel partners and sales at Apple Retail Stores.
Apple also has announced that a total of over 1 million apps has been downloaded by iPad users from Apple’s App Store and 250,000 ebooks has been downloaded from its iBookstore in the first day.
That means on average an iPad user has downloaded more than three apps and close to one book within hours of unpacking their new iPad. Now that’s shows a lot of excitement from the users!
Looks like iPad is going to be another successful story for Apple.
