240,000 Units of iPads has been Pre-Ordered & Now it is out of Stocks

This is a piece of news where you can expect a smile on Steve Jobs’s face. Just about a week before the scheduled delivery of iPads on April 3rd, more than 240,000 iPads were estimated to be pre-ordered. Amazing achievement considering the many criticisms on the device like no flash, ugly look, big size iPod Touch, no USB connection, etc…

The figure given above does not even include iPads reserved for pick-up at Apple Stores nor does it include bulk orders by schools and businesses. Meaning more has been sold and this iPads pre-order figure is given by Daniel Tello who has tracked the iPads’ pre-orders.

The pre-order has been so overwhelm that if you pre-order an iPad today, you can only expect to pick it up on April 12, suggesting Apple has sold out of iPads.

However, if you’ve already pre-ordered an iPad, you will still be getting yours on time.

Looks like iPad will be another success story for Apple.

Such a good sale for Apple, well… will I get an iPad?

Probably not. Not because of the waiting time. But I rather get my hands on the upcoming iPhone instead.
