When one is surfing net, the internet connection speed is the most important factor. The smoothness of browsing the net depends heavily on it. Generally, the internet connection speed vary from one country to another and the variation between cities can be quite huge even in the same country.
Speed test conducted by Speedtest.net reveals that North America has the fastest internet connection speed in term of download and upload and Asia is placed at the fifth behind Europe, Oceania and South America.
In term of country, Switzerland has the fastest download speed while South Korean gained the top for upload speed. The tests were conducted and the ranking is placed according to the average values calculated.
For Singaporean, Singapore is placed at 27th and 39th out of 129 countries in download and upload speeds. Not bad if you compared to Malaysia which was placed at 91st and 72nd place for both categories.
