Search engine is one of the web page that you and me use everyday. It is the bone which support the whole structure of internet. When we want to look for a specific thing in the web, we always refer to search engine. Just type on it and it will displays the suitable results.
Here, i obtained the ranking for search engines displayed in Hitwise for March 2011. As expected, the ranking shows that Google is still far on top of the list and haven’t receive any real threat from its competitors like Yahoo and Bing. But one interesting thing is that Bing has overtook Yahoo to sit at second spot. Now, more people are visiting Bing than Yahoo. Similar like Google, Bing adopted the simple interface which produce a faster web browsing.
Using My Tech Knowledge as the case study, the traffic report reflect almost the same result. Most of the traffic comes from Google search engines. Second reliable source is the direct links like Bookmark, Feed, Facebook and Tweeter. Very less come from other search engines like Yahoo, Bing, Ask and AOL. This is one of the reason, Google are still KING of search engine.
