New thing does not always mean better thing, just like the case of the new Facebook Chat sidebar. It places those friends that you interact the most at the chat box disregarding whether they are online or offline, which is very troublesome when you have a long list of friends that you always interact with. It means that you have to scroll up and down to search for name of your friend that you want to chat with. Anyway, what’s the point of including those offline friends in the list when they are not available for chat? See what I mean in the image below:

For Google Chrome user, you can install a simple Google Chrome extension from the chrome web store. The extension is called “FB Chat Sidebar Disabler” and here’s the link. All you have to do is to click on “Add to Chrome” tab and your old sidebar is back. Yahoo
